60th anniversary

1962 was one of the definitive years in BRM’s rich history; Graham Hill steered his P57 ‘Old Faithful’ V8 to win the World Drivers’ Championship and, together with Richie Ginther, secured the World Constructor's Title for BRM. This was the first time that a British Car with a British Driver had won both the Drivers and Constructors Championships.

It was the year Raymond Mays’ vision and dream, announced at Folkingham Airfield 13 years earlier, was finally realised, and was the start of the period of dominance by British teams, putting Britain at the forefront of the sport.

2022 marked the 60th anniversary of these achievements and BRM developed a unique programme to mark this significant milestone.
