On the 16th January, the BRM team, accompanied by the Chassis IV P15 V16, headed to Bicester Heritage for their first Sunday Scramble of the year.
As the first public appearance of the car in 2022, the BRM team were delighted to be able to showcase the V16 in the Sports Purpose garage, and had over 5,000 people come and admire the car during the morning.
A highlight of the day for many was when the Type 15 was started up. When the engine sprang to life, it had hundreds of people running to get a closer glimpse. Among them was Harry Metcalfe, founder of EVO, who said it was the best sounding engine he'd ever heard.
There was even a round of applause from the crowd after it had been fired up, a true testament to the orchestra that is the sound of the V16. Social media and other coverage was huge, and the event set the tone for a spectacular year of live engagements.
