5 years in the planning, 70 years since the first V16’s debuted on a racetrack and 46 years after the last factory manufactured BRM started an F1 race, British Racing Motors is back in play.
With 4 Members of Sir Alfred Owen’s Family at the helm as Shareholders and Directors, we have assembled a team with the passion, experience and drive to take BRM forward and embark upon the next chapter in the history of this cherished British Marque.
the re-awakening
In 2019, descendants of Sir Alfred Owen set out to revive BRM’s place in motorsport history. Through a programme of events, partnerships with figures such as Jackie Stewart and Damon Hill, and appearances at leading venues, BRM has re-emerged into the public eye - reconnecting new and existing audiences with its enduring story.

Building on the success of “The Reawakening,” in 2025, BRM marked its 75th anniversary, a major milestone in British motorsport, with a series of special events alongside key partners, celebrating its legacy as Britain’s first Formula One team.

Looking ahead, BRM continues to build on its legacy with a focus on innovation, authenticity and engagement. Through carefully curated events, collaborations and the preservation of its historic cars, the marque remains committed to bringing its story to new audiences while honouring the spirit that defined it.
